Thanks to the Oneida County Youth Bureau for funding our summer programs for and by teens!

Sign up for the Summer Reading Program and Special Programs for Teens beginning Monday, June 17, 2002

Earn points toward chances at prizes. There will also be prizes for the top three points earners. All prizes will be distributed at the end of the summer. Thee will also be door prizes given away at each program for and by teens and at volunteer meetings.

Activities and their points:

Submitting online survey (week one only) 1 (one time only)
Submitting online weekly activities / games 1 (one per week/5 maximum)
Submitting artwork related to book 1
Reading books 1 per 50 pages
Submitting book review 1
Attending program 1
Attending meeting 1
Volunteer time 1 point per hour
Submitting review for Sentinel 2 points

Prizes include:
Harry Potter messenger bag
CD/CD player carrier
Locker organizer
Coupons and gift certificates for local businesses

Book Buddies: What is Book Buddies?
Read to children in the community once a week for six weeks. Sites may include:

The Children's Corner
Franklyn's Field
YMCA
